PUNCTUATED EQUILIBRIUM

HISTORICISM is the application of a pseudo-scientific model to history. I say “pseudo” because there is NO earthly way to apply a materialistic model to all of human history. But even IF we believe Marx or the “generations guys” or the “4th turning” were explanatory, it NO LONGER FUCKING MATTERS; we are NOT in THAT world any longer. That equilibrium, beginning roughly 10,000 to 15,000 ya, is in our rear view mirror. What is coming does not fit this period of equilibrium, and the models need not apply for the job.
