I, too, cannot help you, not really.

If you believe this conflict with IRAN is organic, a natural outcome of geopolitics, then the upcoming RISK is NOT “boots on the ground” and Vietnam. Trump never went to VIETNAM, why do we believe he would risk this war? – because he DID NOT go? It’s more likely he reads the room and chooses a worse option than serving up Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force to the wood chipper.

I believe Trump’s next choice, if things get worse, is to approve Israeli use of nuclear weapons against Iran. Worse yet, Trump may approve of a US nuke attack on Iran.

FIRST MOVER DILEMMA

In many cases of “peace” or harmony with bullies, we find peace because one or more members of the groups want to take down the the bully, but they don’t communicate and are afraid to act first. This is a variant of the prisoner’s dilemma …

There are many reasons why the situation is unstable right now, and very little of this might have to do with the IRAN situation; however, I think the IRAN situation is showing many players that NOW is the time to pile on.

Between the UKRAINE WAR that looks like the SOMME 1916 and the IRAN debacle, Trump has either purposefully or accidentally shown the USA to be a paper tiger and that if ALL THE POORS stood up to the bully at once? – the outcomes would shift further.

When I was in graduate school I called this “firestorm” theory, and mainly as a buttress to the whole “we can fight 2.5 wars” bullshit.

This situation is showing we can’t win ONE war at this point: Iraq, Afghanistan, … etc.

  1. Why now? Seems to me this would have been known among inner and outer circles for a while. Even I heard rumors decades ago about this, and simply dismissed it with JFK, MLK and the CLINTON ROAD SHOW at the time.
  2. How does this link to a “hate migrant” agenda being pushed by all parties?
