If a BLUE OCEAN EVENT is immanent, then MAJOR ERUPTIONS of methane in the ARCTIC and in other places is nearing.
Some of the methane plumes that get triggered will creep into the great circle airline path and many shipping lanes.
At some point coastal methane is triggered, this is because their temperature/pressure stability zone becomes unstable. Think real explanation for Bermuda Triangle and what happens to a ship if the water column’s density drops by 90%. This applies to aircraft as well.
If we are living through rapid global permafrost collapse, arguably some of the most ancient is the fire ice, clathrate, methane and water bonded structures that could rapidly change the world forever.
So yeah, you won’t want to be flying or going by ship if this starts happening. It won’t be everywhere, but it will make the seas, and the skies, more dangerous.

BTW: Iran does have the ability to launch satellites, which defacto means they have the ability to build an ICBM. Of course, the IRBM they used against Diego Garcia (ostensibly) is not one of these.
