Sexual Assault in the US military …

*** in a military institutional context, a soldier is captured. Captured and constrained by a system of controls that make reporting fraud, waste, abuse, criminal activity, and worse, DIFFICULT if not IMPOSSIBLE for junior officers, NCOs, etc. But the reality: it’s at the company level that many or most of these abuses occur. I will never recommend anyone enter the US military, for a myriad of reasons, but this is one: if you join, whether you like it or not, you are volunteering for torture and abuse, and the cognitive dissonance that comes along for the ride. BTW: whatever logic or deconstruction you want to apply to the Catholic Church abuse cases or the BSA abuse cases, you should apply doubly so to the us military, according to its design.

GUNBOAT DIPLOMACY

Here we are:

  1. People are going to make “comparisons” to other conflicts, given our history in that part of the world I think the best comparison would be to the “Banana Wars”.
  2. Technically, GUNBOAT DIPLOMACY is the use of force to open up diplomatic relations: see Japan 19th Century and CMDR PERRY.
  3. If there is still time on the clock, then expect this to be more like the 2011 LIBYA MODEL – we take the oil, take logistics required to support the oil, but we mostly neglect the interior and hand it over to drug lords, but they’ll be OUR drug lords. We might try to put someone in charge and provide limited support, but I doubt will connect ourselves too deeply to any one given dictator.

With the MAGA/Q/TRUMP phenom, they’ve managed to capture the “gun owners” or anyone equipped or willing to stand up to tyranny.

The ALEX-JONES-SANDY-HOOK sheep dipping op was a fucking slam dunk. Alex became the: “well oh shit Marge, if ALEX is behind Trump then Trump must be legit”.

They have captured most resistance at this point.

DEPRESSION SHAMING: continues as a drip

It seems there’s a pattern …

Crypto, BITCOIN et al, has a bad day or week and then come the army of influencers preaching the HODL and don’t be negative and “don’t let negative people into your lives” crowd screeches. Could be real estate pyramid builders … could be stock bros. But when their fortune turns they turn on those who have no voice, who are never heard, and are thoroughly ignored: the negative, the poor, the homeless, the depressed.

I am currently making <$1800 a month taking care of disabled kids at a public school. One of the kids is a bleeder and technically should NOT be allowed at the school, but the MAGA administrators don’t care and I think they laugh about it, the risk of blood born pathogens is huge.

But yeah, I’m the negative problem … can’t afford food, rent, etc, our community is imploding and the sky is filled with garbage.
