FUN FACT: decommissioned does not mean SAFE TO IGNORE … sorry if no one told you this.
SAFE REACTOR OPERATIONS NECESSARILY REQUIRE:
reliable supply chains
access to external power
diesel fuel for backup power generation
engineers showing up for work, ideally sober
ambient heat exchange, access to cool water that is predictable in its flow (for BWR type reactors and other types). Some kind of heat exchange is required for moderating the reactor in most cases, the advanced compressed CO2 cooling methods are years away from being ready for prime time.
*** It’s like there’s a dial on this OP to turn it up or down and it looks like Iran is playing along. This means it’s the worst case scenario, good luck, hey – what’s permafrost?
(spoiler: despite all the geoengineering bullshit, we’re warming FASTER this time … much faster … the oceans were accumulating 6 Hiroshima bombs per second 10 years ago … now it’s 14 per second … good luck)
You think it’s JUST MAYBE a recession or hyper inflation or a depression or the collapse of the dollar or nuclear war … but it could be ALL OF THE ABOVE and WORSE … sorry, not sorry.
Putting together a GRINKEN TIME playlist … PLEASE, all FIVE FED FRIENDS should request ADDS to it …
