The truth of these forces might exist, but it is in the background and not apparent; the foreground is polluted with lies and noise.

It’s like the “Holocaust”: whatever the real truth is, it is separate from how this concept/event/term has been used to justify horrors, and this seems fundamentally wrong and never the correct response to historical or ordinary trauma. The deeper “truth”, that is shared, is that THEY have always been attacked, and they tend to avoid reasons why.
