PAWS
“Living in this fallen world, you’re gonna step on some paws.” – Dr. Freckles
I was going to walk the dogs this morning and something happened to little Shaggy …
- going OUT THERE, taking risks
- making friends
- falling in love
- being yourself
- walking dogs – they need it, but sometimes …
Spiders …
I get that you’re here to help, but I gotta say it:
- I don’t want to see you, do your shit in private.
- Don’t have so many babies that I regret not having smashed you.
- Stop with that karate pose when I’m on the pooper – unless you’re venomous, you’re not fooling anyone …
Don’t forget the light …
What if there is something magical, tangible, about kindness?
What if we simply tried kindness more often, and let go of hate?
What if we can confront the brutal facts of life, without becoming a brute?
What if we can still heal the world?
WARDROBE MALFUNCTION
Small is big …
“Sometimes small is big.” – Dr. Freckles
The old school house, in the film “Over the Edge” …
There’s an old school house in the parking lot, almost as if it’s on display, a monument, to a time now forgotten. Next to this is the “New Granada Jr High”, flashy and modern and plastic and aluminum.
With the old school house – there’s more “outside” than “inside”. You get the sense that it’s a limited space, but still a space of control – without any pretense.
The new school has it all. Food, fun, sports, drugs. The new school is a place you can dump your kid for the day.
The old school house had a way out for every room.
The new school house has a way in for every kid, and no way out.
Over the edge … (1979)
- suburban wasteland
- misguided youth
- existential darkness
- suburban brutalism
- vandalism
- suburbia as grooming for pedophiles
- suburbia as family made into a commodity
- abstraction of living destroys life
- managed society
- rebellion / obedience narrative in the context of 2020
- the scene when the girl shoots the boy by accident – no deep angst, no political energy, just “no biggee” and kids move on …
Khartoum (1966)
- Is this black facing?
- Is black facing wrong?
- Can you mock closeted gay people?
- Sir Lawrence Olivier was gay …
“Cromwell” (1970)
This movie deals well enough with the bigger themes of the English Civil War … It’s not bad, worth a watch.
What little good I can do …
When I think about walking the dogs.
When I think about “Boomer” and the sprinklers.
A woman chant …
A woman is a QUICK TIME LOVER …
She wants your WHITE SLICK so that she can achieve next level powers …
Her boobs become power canons once she steals your MAN JUICE …
And she’ll leave you to die, at the disco, being butt raped by monkeys and cats.
HEGLON FOLK congregate in the BRONX, where the DARE DEVIL PRINCE cranberry choir boys dance naked for the town council.

Scurgon dares to pull us home.
We shall roam, AS MEN.
Moon bright … (this morning or tonight)
It’s 2 AM …
I keep thinking about that old black and white movie about Abraham Lincoln …
“… it was Moon bright …”
(it sure is)
Moon is really out tonight, making people crazy …
